Objectives​

  • View network interfaces
  • Configure with ip and ifconfig
  • Understand netplan (Ubuntu 24.04)

Exercise 1: View Interfaces​

# With ip (modern)
ip addr show
ip link show

# With ifconfig (classic)
ifconfig -a

# Active interfaces
ip link show up

Exercise 2: Configuration with netplan​

# View configuration
ls /etc/netplan/
cat /etc/netplan/*.yaml

# Apply
sudo netplan apply

# Test
sudo netplan try
